Acoustic guitars, banjos, mandolins, and lush vocal harmonies; there is nothing that can warm a heart quicker than a good old folk song. With the rise of bands like Fleet Foxes, Mumford & Sons, we’ve listened to an uninterrupted stream of amazing indie folk recordings ripe with catchy melodies and powerful vocal harmonies. Now bands and artists like the Lumineers and James Bay are reminding us that while this genre has seen it’s fair share of time in the spotlight, it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere any time soon.
